DripMix Privacy Policy

Who we are

DripMix is made by Spacecow (dripmix.spacecow.co.za), who is responsible for the data described here. You can reach us at dripmix@spacecow.co.za.

What stays on your phone

Your stars, coins, unlocked stages, collected colors and settings are saved on your phone only. We never see them unless they are part of the usage data below. Uninstalling the game, or Menu → Reset all progress, deletes them.

Usage data we collect

To see which stages are too hard or too easy, find bugs and keep the game running smoothly, DripMix sends us usage data while you play:

• How you play: stages started and finished, scores and stars, time taken, taps used, hints and other help, coins earned and spent, and which adverts you chose to watch.
• How the game runs: frame rate, loading times and error messages.
• Your device: model, operating system version, screen size, language and the game's version.
• A random player ID made by the game when it is first installed. It isn't linked to your name, your Google account or your advertising ID.
• Your country, worked out from your internet address when the data arrives. We don't keep the internet address itself.

We don't collect your name, email, contacts, photos, precise location or your advertising ID. We don't sell usage data and we don't use it for advertising.

Usage data is stored with an analytics provider that keeps it in the European Union and handles it only on our behalf. We keep it for up to 13 months, then delete it or keep only totals that can't be linked to anyone.

We use this data because we have a legitimate interest in improving the game, and it's kept to the minimum needed for that. You can turn it off at any time in the game: Menu → Usage data. While it's off, nothing more is sent.

Adverts

DripMix shows rewarded adverts from Google AdMob, and only when you tap a purple advert button (for example to earn coins or open a gate). No advert plays on its own.

To show adverts, measure them and prevent fraud, Google may collect information such as your device's advertising ID, internet address, approximate location, device details and how you interact with the advert. Google handles this under its own privacy policy:

Your choices about adverts

• In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, the game asks for your consent the first time it starts, using Google's consent form. Personalised adverts are only shown if you agree. You can change your choice at any time: Menu → Privacy options.
• In US states with privacy laws (such as California), you can opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of your personal information for advertising: Menu → Privacy options.
• Everywhere, you can reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of personalised ads, in your phone's settings (on Android: Settings → Google → Ads, or Settings → Privacy → Ads).

Saying no never stops you playing: adverts still work, they're just not personalised.

Children

DripMix is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has used the game and you want their usage data removed, email us and we will delete it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in Europe and the UK, POPIA in South Africa, or US state privacy laws), you may have the right to ask for a copy of your data, have it corrected or deleted, object to how we use it, or complain to your data protection authority (in South Africa, the Information Regulator).

Because we don't know who you are, we need your player ID to find your usage data. You'll find it in the game under Menu. Email it to dripmix@spacecow.co.za with your request and we'll reply within 30 days. For data collected by Google for adverts, use the choices above or contact Google.

Where data is handled

Usage data is stored in the European Union. Google may handle advert data in other countries, under the safeguards described in its privacy policy.

Security

Usage data is sent over an encrypted connection (HTTPS) and access to it is limited to the people working on DripMix.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we'll update the date at the top of this page. If a change is significant, the game will tell you.
